Reflex Systems Reports Impressive Results as Demand Accelerates for Integrated Virtualization Management Solution

Tripled Year-Over-Year Revenue through Existing and New Customer Expansion, Signed Key Deals with Cloud Service Providers

Atlanta, Georgia, 5/4/2010 - Reflex Systems, a pioneer in virtualization systems management solutions, today announced strong results for 2009, a trend that continued into the first quarter of 2010 along with increasing demand for the Reflex Virtualization Management Center (VMC). Reflex’s revenues tripled in 2009 over 2008, while Q1 2010 revenues doubled compared to Q4 2009.

"The fact that, even in this volatile economy, Reflex business continues to grow, speaks to the enormous flexibility and ROI that our virtualization management system enables," said Pete Privateer, President and CEO, Reflex Systems. "As virtualization becomes ubiquitous and virtual infrastructures become more complex, enterprises are spending more time and resources managing and securing them. These companies are realizing that, without a comprehensive solution for managing the virtual infrastructure, they risk offsetting any CapEx savings with increases in OpEx. To eliminate this risk, extend their virtualization benefits, and set the foundation for secure, flexible expansion—both within the corporate network and into the cloud—they are increasingly adopting Reflex VMC."

Reflex grew its customer base by more than 100 percent in the last 12 months and significantly expanded use of Reflex VMC in current customer engagements through additional licenses and enterprise site license agreements. The company is also seeing traction for its newly announced vProfile Configuration Management module—which enables IT to visually map configuration variances and easily remediate differences and enforce compliance—among both existing and new customers.

To support rising enterprise interest in its solutions, Reflex has also been building out its sales force, adding sales and sales engineer positions throughout the United States, including in the Northeast, Central and West Coast regions.

Reflex also signed strategic agreements with key technology vendors, such as TippingPoint, whose recently launched TippingPoint Virtual Controller (vController)—which uses Reflex VMC to enable highly sophisticated and seamless security across physical and virtual networks—was honored with the Best of Interop 2010 award for security. In addition, Reflex entered into agreements with leading service providers, including Savvis, CSC and LightBound, who are using Reflex VMC to secure and improve management and security of their cloud infrastructures. Reflex supports the growing need for enabling technologies in the cloud by allowing enterprises to create trust zones, rules and policies that move with virtualized assets into cloud environments, delivering a new level of scalability and flexibility.

According to Sam Newberry, CTO of Managed Services at LightBound, "There are point solutions on the market that provide some of the capabilities of VMC, but they can’t touch what Reflex offers. No other solution has the holistic, broad-based approach, deep integration and correlation, and levels of security and granularity that Reflex VMC provides. It is essential to enabling LightBound to provide secure, robust hosted cloud services."

Reflex's award-winning Virtualization Management Center manages and protects virtual servers, desktops, and networks, providing a management, security and compliance solution that enables organizations to increase efficiency and business continuity in the virtual data center. Reflex VMC includes the VMC Management Platform, which provides a unified point of management for Reflex vTrust Security, vWatch Monitoring and vProfile Configuration modules. The VMC Management Platform also serves as an integration point with third-party interfaces and cloud service providers.
